I am looking to fundraise as much money as possible for this cause. I have joined the only registered charity in the UK.... Verity, which is a self funded non-profit charity to raise awareness and self help for sufferers of PCOS. It funds itself from memberships gained and little bits from people like amazon etc. I still feel that this is not enough. PCOS as you know affects 5-10% of women in the world, and this charity only raised just above £40,000 last financial year. Which is not a lot of money for a charity that helps aid such a common syndrome, a syndrome which has no cure and has such a massive impact on womens lives, specifically relating to infertility. PCOS is one of the leading causes of infertility in the world. So this is a good cause. Your money will go along way, whether or not you suffer from PCOS. I have devised a donation page using 'justgiving', a renowned company that allow advertising for donation and fundraising for your chosen charity. The widget can be found on my home page if you wish to donate. Every little helps. I have also added a widget to my facebook page to try and raise awareness worldwide. I am looking to organise various charity events to help fundraise, such as gigs and street work. Also to meet media figures to raise awareness amongst the public. I would also like to invest in wristbands and ribbons to sell at such events. 100% of monies gained will be donated directly to verity, and your money will help aid research into PCOS and to aid sufferers and their families and friends.
